Block printed by hand, this reusable 1.5m fabric garland features a string of ten cotton stars. Block printing uses flat, solid layers of colour to build up images, and involves intricately carved wooden blocks being dipped in ink to stamp repeat patterns onto fabric surfaces. Both the carving of the wooden blocks and the printing of the fabrics are traditional crafts passed from generation to generation in Jaipur, India.
